… a bit more about me…
I am a full time narrator working in California, USA. Audiobook performance was born from my lifelong love of reading, learning and innate curiosity toward the world around me. In high school I took part in theater. Moving to Cape Cod after graduation I became a sailmaker in a sail loft at a boatyard. Continuing exploration in the visual arts brought me to industrial design, graphic design, watercolor, bookmaking, air brush, stain glass window and furniture design, photography, pastry making and, not finally, cake decoration. I more recently played with BATS Improv Theatre out of San Francisco. I have worked for Common Mode and recently received a Society of Voice Arts and Sciences nomination.
For 10+ years I have been narrating and producing solo and multi-cast productions. Pulling together multi-cast projects with actors throughout the world continues to be a great challenge and thoroughly rewarding. Having travelled and lived overseas, creatively parented and homeschooled, I bring a wealth of life experience to every project. Prior art design studies in various mediums have informed my performances as I "see and feel" what your words convey.
I am passionate about powerful women, women's relationships, gardening, hiking, walking on beaches, birdwatching, children, laughter and friendships - not necessarily in that order. I love to deep dive into the subtext in each and every story, creating the experience for each listener of 'getting lost' in your created world.
